Can you believe we are already in Q2 for 2018? I’m so excited to have a new fresh clean slate (I typically plan quarterly), and I’m so excited to share my March recap with you. So let’s get started, shall we?
Prepped A Month Ahead
In the month of March, I was able to plan most of my social media (mainly Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook) for the month of March. I was also able to write blog posts for the whole month, schedule out emails, and more. I’ve started taking my batching seriously again, and it’s paying off in terms of my productivity and time management.
Found A Virtual Assistant
A client and good friend of mine recently released a course on how to become a VA and start making $10k a month, and I was so excited that she included a pro option that includes getting job opportunities. I asked her if I could post about me looking for a VA in her group, and she said yes! So after posting I’ve found someone who is interested in working with me, and we are going to work together for a month to see how it goes. Fingers crossed that I can have a VA long-term and that she enjoys working with me!
Started Using Evernote
So after using Google Keep for a few months, I decided to try out Evernote again. It’s been quite a few years since I gave it a try. I didn’t like it when I first started using it, but I now chalk that up to me not sitting down and learning how to use it properly. After playing around with it in the month of March, I love it! I actually prefer it over Google Keep now. So much more organized, I can link notes within each other, and I love that I can have the app on my computer and phone synched. I attribute a lot of my batching success in the month of March to Evernote!
Personal Life Recap
Celebrated My Birthday
I celebrated my golden birthday in March, and turned 24 on the 24th. It was very low-key, but I loved every second of it. My husband let me sleep in, we went out to my favorite Thai restaurant, and I got some cool birthday gifts (including Starbucks gift cards, a Harry Potter Gryffindor blanket, and some personal care items).
Enrolled My Daughter Into A Summer Program
I’m a bit sad about this, but I know it’s for a good reason. We live right across the street from an elementary school, and my daughter has noticed all of the kids and has dubbed them as her “friends”. Even with both my husband and I working from home, we can tell she’s started to get lonely and looking to interact more with kids her age. We don’t plan on enrolling her in school (we plan on homeschooling), but we did find a summer program that she can go to two days a week.
Although I will miss her very much when she leaves on those days, I know she’ll have fun and be excited about making new friends and playing around. It’s only May-August, so we will determine if we should enroll her in more activities outside of the home depending on how well she does. If it makes her happy, I’ll do whatever I need to do to make sure she gets what she needs and wants.
Listened To Two Books
I didn’t read any physical books in March, which I try to do, but I was able to listen to two books using Audible. I’ve been loving it so much that I decided to bump up my plan to two books a month vs. just one. It’s only an extra $8 a month, which is cheaper than buying a brand new book. And I love being able to choose one business/personal development and one fiction book each month. This month, I “read” She Means Business by Carrie Green, and A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. Both were pretty incredible books, and reading A Man Called Ove made me want to watch the movie.
Found Some Awesome Podcasts
If you don’t know by now, I absolutely love podcasts’. I’ll listen to just about anything, and I prefer listening to podcasts’ instead of watching TV. I just feel like I can absorb the information better. In the month of March, I found a few pretty awesome podcasts including Living Over Existing, She Means Business Podcast (I found this because of reading Carrie Green’s book), and 2 Dope Queens. I’m trying to catch up on all of the episodes, but it might take me a bit. Give these podcasts’ a listen if you haven’t already!
March was another great but busy month, but now I’m ready to bring on Q2. Let’s see what all I can do!
What did you accomplish in March?
