*Quick Note: This post is not sponsored, I just love using Creative Market.*
Running a website and social media takes so much time. You always have something to write, something to update, something to post, and it’s incredibly time consuming. So what do most people do? They outsource. They’ll outsource web design, content creation, social media, and more.
But what do you do when you just don’t have the money to outsource? When I was starting out, I didn’t have hundreds or thousands of dollars to pay someone to manage my website and social media. So instead, I looked for ways to be efficient and still save money.
Why I Love Creative Market
I’ve talked about Creative Market quite a bit, but I want to get into it with a lot more detail. I love Creative Market. It’s a hub of products created by talented entrepreneurs and includes everything from WordPress Themes to Instagram Story Graphics. Seriously, you can find just about anything on Creative Market. It’s DIY-ing done right. You buy a product, support a fellow entrepreneur, and get to customize whatever you buy to your liking and business. It’s like receiving a blueprint but being able to make the changes to make it fit you.
I’ve used Creative Market for a lot of different products, including fonts, themes, and even graphics. I’ve never been disappointed by anything I’ve purchased, and I love how I can support my fellow solopreneurs with my business. So what have I bought, and how do I use it in my business?
My Current Theme
When I decided to refresh and update my blog, the first thing that I wanted to change was my theme. Mine was an old, outdated, and (rather) ugly theme that made everything just seem unprofessional. And that was not the look I was going for. So I went on the hunt to find an affordable theme, and that’s actually how I came across Creative Market the first time. You can check out my theme here, and buy it if you want! It’s beautiful and so easy to use and update. I don’t see myself changing it out for a really long time.
Here are some other themes I love as well:
- The Holly Theme
- Parker – A Minimalist Theme
- Maggie, Feminine WordPress Theme
- GirlBoss WordPress Theme
I’m a font junkie, so I’ve bought my fair share of them. I’ve bought some for clients and some for myself, and they’re all pretty awesome for creating eye catching graphics and adding some extra oomph to just about everything from freebies to ebooks, and everything in between. Here are some of my favorites:
If you’re tired of the same old stock photos (like me) then Creative Market is a great way to get new photos for an affordable price. I prefer getting the bundles, as I find them to be a better deal overall, so here are a few of my favorite shops:
If you’re in need of business cards, you can use Moo to order them (that’s where I get mine from), but I love the options that Creative Market has for designing them. Here are some of the best ones I’ve seen:
- Feminine Business Card Templates
- Square Minimal Business Cards
- Geometric Business Card Template
- Name Card Template
Need help creating cohesive graphics for Instagram, Pinterest, or Facebook? Creative Market has you covered there too. What’s great about these is that they come with multiple options, but you can customize them and make them your own. And if you get tired of them? Just buy a new pack! Simple. I love all of these:
- Social Media Bundle
- Entrepreneur Social Media Quotes
- Instagram Stories Quotes
- Minimalist Social Pack
- Blog + Social Bundle
- Canva Social Media Templates
Even if you don’t buy anything from Creative Market, check out their free goods section! Every week they send out an email with products that are free for the week, or at a very discounted rate. I love that I can always find something new to use, like a new font, powerpoint outline, or even a new WordPress theme. And who doesn’t love freebies?
I love using Creative Market, and will continue to use it as long as I possibly can. I hope you check them out and enjoy them as well. You don’t have to spend a ton of money or outsource all of your business, but you can still save money, time, and energy by DIY-ing the right way with Creative Market.
